Bright Futures on the Fee Invoice:

Bright Futures Summer Funding F.A.Q:

1-       Why does my Bright Futures summer award appear differently on “View Financial Aid” versus my “Fee Invoice”?

The award amount posted on the “View Financial Aid” page of myUCF is based on A, C and D hours only. The award amount for the B session will not be added to “View Financial Aid” until the B session has begun.  The Fee Invoice is based on A, B, C and D hours combined.

2-      Would I be charged a late fee if my Bright Futures summer award is not posted to my Student Account by the payment deadline?

No, as long as your Summer 2018 Fee Invoice reflects an Estimated Bright Futures summer award amount. You will receive a Tuition & Fee deferment and will not be charged a late fee.

3-      Will I be charged a late fee after  the tuition and payment deadline for summer A, C, and D if my Bright Futures  award will not disburse until after the start of the summer B term?

No. Your Fee Invoice will show the total award amount based on all summer hours enrolled and will provide a tuition and fee deferment for both deadlines.

4-      How will the Bright Futures Academic summer award disburse if there are two payment deadlines?

– Students  enrolled in 6 or more hours during summer sessions A, C and/or D can anticipate  the award disbursing on/after May 24th.

– Students enrolled in 6 or more hours during sessions A, C, or D and will also be enrolled in session B will receive a 1st  disbursement for their A,C and/or D hours on/after May 24. Bright Futures funding for summer B hours will disburse on/after July 5th.

–  Students enrolled in LESS than 6 hours during sessions A, C and/or D and will meet the minimum 6 hour requirement with summer B hours will not receive a Bright Futures summer disbursement until on/after July 5th.

5-      Why do I have to wait until July 5th to receive my Bright Futures summer disbursement for summer B hours?

Per OSFA guidelines, Bright Futures funding must be disbursed after the Drop/Swap and Add deadline for each term. Students enrolled in summer B hours may Drop/Swap and Add courses until June 29. The first disbursement for session summer B hours is scheduled for July 5th.
