Scholarships for ProStart National Certificate of Achievement Students
- Must be a graduating high school senior or high school junior.
- Must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.75.
- Must have received a ProStart National Certificate of Achievement between September 1, 2007 and August 14, 2008.
- Must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States or be a resident of American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.

CISNEY LATIN PRIZE AWARD - 08/09 Academic Year
- Must be a first year student
- Qualified in Latin
- Must provide high transcript(s) that indicate Latin course in high school:
- Latin vocabulary
- Latin grammar
- Passage of translation from Caesar’s Gallic Wars and/or Cicero’s orations
- 1000 word essay in English on value of Latin in education at U.C.F. in world understanding.

MID-FLORIDA HOMEBUILDERS SCHOLARSHIP — 08/09 Academic Year 
- Must be a junior or senior in the following disciplines: College of Business Administration; Engineering disciplines including Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, Industrial, Computer Engineering and Engineering Technology; and Computer Sciences.
- Students must reside in Osceola, Orange, or Seminole county.
- Preference will be given to employees or children of employees of members of the Home Builder’s Association of Mid-Florida.
- Must have a cumulative UCF GPA (Grade Point Average) of at least a 3.0 or better.
- Awards can be made to the same students for a total of two (2) years provided the recipient maintains a 3.0 GPA.
- Please attach three letters of recommendation and a transcript. In addition, please attach a list of all activities, honors, awards, and other personal qualities or factors of which you want us to be aware. This list should show a history of your activities either in school or in the community.
- Please attach a 500 word essay outlining your goals for the future and how they relate to the construction field.

Central Florida Paralegal Association Inc
-Must be enrolled in a Legal Studies Program
- Some items to be considered are GPA, unmet financial need, career goals, community involvement, and a writing sample.
-Must provide a recent academic transcript
-Must provide a list or summary of your extracurricular activities, volunteer work, community service, leadership positions, and any special awards or recognition you have received.
- Must provide a five hundred words or less, tell us how receiving this scholarship will make a difference in your education; what your career plans or goals are; why you want to enter the legal field; and explain the role that you feel paralegal play in the legal field.

Scholarships are to be presented at CFPA’s Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet to be held September 19,2008 at the History Center in Downtown Orlando. Women’s Executive Council Scholarship
- Student must be registered for at least 12 hours (Consideration will be given for fewer academic hours with full-time employment)
- 3.5GPA or better
- Must be on an educational path to a professional degree
- Female preferred
AWARD(S): Minimum of five (5) scholarships in amounts ranging from $1,200 - $1,500 each

Frontier Civitan Club Endowed Scholarship Fund - 08/09 Academic Year 
- 3.0 GPA
- Full time undergraduate student at UCF
- Substantial and continuing involvement in leadership/community service, substantiated by a letter from a recipient of service or high school guidance counselor.
- Submission of a 250 word essay outlining commitment to community service.
Preference will be given to former Junior Civitans (letter of recommendation from sponsor).
- This scholarship may be awarded to the same student in successive semesters until graduation, provided the recipient maintains a 3.0 GPA, is sill active in community service, and/or is a Civitan member.

Eccleston-Callahan Memorial Fund Scholarship 
The Community Foundation of Central Florida is privileged to administer the Eccleston-Callahan Memorial Fund scholarship award, so named to honor the memory of Dr. C. L. Eccleston, and Dr J.B. Callahan. This fund was created to benefit the needy handicapped children and youth. The scholarship committee is looking for student who meets the requirements to be nominated for this scholarship.
Applicants must also meet these additional requirements:
- Student must be 21 years of age or younger.
- Student must have great need of financial assistance.
- Preferences shall be given to students with physical disabilities (please indicate nature of the student's disability.

The 2008-2009 Humantech Scholarship Program
-Must be majoring in the in one of the following areas: Ergonomics, Human Factors, Kinesiology, Human Kinetics, and Industrial Engineering.
-Must be a junior, senior, masters, or doctorate student.
-Must demonstrate a strong academic background, a passion for advancing the field of ergonomics, involvement in extra-curricular activities and leadership participation in student organizations, and Interpersonal skills and social responsibility.
AWARD: Three (3) scholarships at $1,500 each, Awards winners will be notified by November 30, 2008.

Jacob K. Javits Fellowships Program 2008/2009
-Must be undergraduate students about to enter graduate school and graduate students who have not yet completed their first year of graduate study and who intend to pursue a doctoral or master's degree, if the master's degree is the terminal or highest degree awarded in an approved field, may apply.
-Twenty percent of the fellowships shall be awarded in the social sciences, twenty percent in the arts, and sixty percent in the humanities. A minimum of sixty percent of the awards shall be made to students who have no graduate credits.
- Eligibility is limited to U.S. citizens or nationals, permanent residents of the U.S., or citizens of any one of the Freely Associated States.
-Applicants must be eligible to be accepted to or currently attending a graduate program leading to a doctorate or a terminal master's degree in an eligible field of study at an institution of higher education approved by an accrediting agency recognized by the Secretary of the Department of Education. Applicants attending a foreign institution are ineligible.

of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (unweighted).
-Must be entering a U.S. accredited college or university
as a full time, degree seeking freshman in the Fall
semester of your freshman year.
-Must demonstrate leadership abilities through participation
in community service, extracurricular or other activities.
-Must be eligible for the Federal Pell Grant (eligibility
for the Pell Grant is determined by submitting a

components to the scholarship nomination process:
(1) A Nominee Personal Information Form to be completed

by a principal, teacher, guidance counselor or other
professional educator, and (3) A Recommender form

service and leadership activities.

POST-BACCALAUREATE ACHIEVEMENT PROGRAM
- Must be a full time UCF student who has completed
60 credit hours
- Must have a minimum 2.75 GPA
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of

- Must be either a first generation college student
(neither parent has received a four-year bachelor's
degree) who has a low income level or a member of
a group underrepresented in graduate education (African
American, Hispanic American, Native American, Alaskan
Native)
- Must have a serious interest in pursuing graduate
study leading to the Ph.D.
