Federal PLUS Loan for
Graduate Students

Graduate and professional students will be eligible to borrow under the PLUS loan program. This loan will have the same terms and conditions as the Parent PLUS Loan and will allow the graduate student to borrow up to the cost of attendance minus other estimated financial assistance.

To be eligible the student must meet the following requirements:

• Be a U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen

• Be degree seeking and enrolled at least halftime (see Program Eligibility Charts for specific hour requirements)

• Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

• Meet credit criteria from selected lender.**

• Complete the Graduate PLUS loan application on our website.

• Meet the standards of Satisfactory Academic Progress.

** Students must be aware that it will be based on their personal credit history.
