Student Procedures

File a Free Application for Federal Student Assistance (FAFSA) to apply for the Federal Work Study (FWS) Program.

Check your myUCF account to see the amount of your FWS award.

Complete any items on your myUCF To Do List including the FWS Contract.

**If you are interested in working at a community service site, you must register online for a Workshop (http://finaid.ucf.edu/fws/idates.htm#workshops).

You will then seek a position through the FWS Job Connection website.

The department will interview you. Bring these documents to the interview:

- Award Summary & Class Schedule from myUCF
- Voided Personal Check for Direct Deposit
- Social Security Card or Social Security Card Application Receipt
- Driver's License or Acceptable Form of Identification.

If an agreement is made, the department will prepare a complete hiring packet and forward it to Human Resources.

You cannot begin working until you have completed a hiring packet from the department.
