Federal Work Study Program
Federal
Workstudy (FWS) is a program designed to provide college students
who are in need of financial assistance a chance to earn money
while pursing theirdegree.
Individual
departments hire FWS students, but the Student Financial Assistance
(SFA) office sets the award and pay rate.
The UCF Federal
Workstudy Employment website can help you find a job that fits
your schedule and is just minutes from your classes.
To
be eligible for Federal Workstudy, you must:
- Meet a
need of at least $4,000 for the Fall & Spring or $2,000
for the Summer
- Be degree
seeking at UCF
- Be enrolled
at least half-time at UCF
- Be a U.S.
citizen or non resident of the United States, or the Marshall
Islands or a permanent resident of the Pacific Islands (Palau)
- Have a
Social Security card or letter from the Social Security Administration
