Eligibility Requirements
Federal Work Study (FWS) is a program designed
to provide college students who are in need of financial assistance
a chance to earn money while pursing their degree.
Individual departments hire FWS students, but
the Student Financial Assistance (SFA) office sets the award and
pay rate.

can help you find a job that fits your schedule and is just minutes
from your classes.
To be eligible for Federal Workstudy,
you must:
1. Meet a need of at least $4,000 for the Fall
& Spring or $2,000 for the Summer
2. Be degree seeking at UCF
3. Be enrolled at least half-time at UCF
4. Be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, eligible non-citizen,
or citizen of the Freely Associated States: the Federated States
of Micronesia and the republics of Palau and the Marshall Islands

5. Have a Social Security card or letter from the Social Security
Administration (application receipt)
