Federal Community Service
Learning Program

Services designed to improve the quality of life for community residents, especially low-income residents or to solve particular problems related to those needs, include:

  1. Health Care, Child Care, Literacy Training, Education, Welfare, Social Services, Transportation, Housing Safety, Crime Prevention, Control Recreation, etc.
  2. "Mentoring", Tutoring, Counseling, supporting Educational and Recreational Activities.
  3. Support services for students with disabilities.
  4. Work in service opportunities or youth corps.

America Reads

America Reads is a community service project that engages college students in tutoring programs for kindergarten through 3rd grade. The goal of this program is to teach children to read independently and well by the end of the 3rd grade.
